What type of photography interests you most?

For today's post, we're simply asking you, what type(s) of photography are you most interested in? What do you currently shoot? What types have you thought about branching out into? What do you want to learn more about? We want to hear your thoughts and get to know our customers and readers a little bit better.

Here's a few categories to think about: Portrait, wedding, children/newborn, maternity, commercial, editorial, documentary, fashion, fine art, experimental, landscape, architectural, nature, pets/animals, still life, travel, abstract. Or, maybe you have another type of photography to add?

Let us know in the comments, and feel free to leave a link to your website or portfolio.

Don't want to comment (we wish you would), then click your answers in the multiple-choice poll in the ride sidebar of the site.

  2. Documentary, Travel, and Photojournalism. I love the human aspect of everything and searching for the story with and behind it all.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/thesohnly/ - it's not a very good sampling of my work yet. I have to go through about 100GB of photos that I've taken in the last year and scan all the film I have shot thus far. No clue when I will do that.

If I could afford new equipment, I would buy it from KEH

  4. It's hard to nail a genre, because photography is really all about the light. If the good light is there, to me it's almost like the subject doesn't matter.

If I had to narrow it down, it would have to be spring flowers, landscapes, and "the shore". By the shore, I mean all aspects of it - people getting their grub at the food stands, rocks, sand, gulls divebombing for peoples' food as they turn away from the table, quirky little boardwalk towns with their sometimes odd vendors. If there happens to be an amusement park of sorts, I'm in heaven. Related, I also like county fairs, state fairs, farmers markets etc and all the oddities that come with it.
